JUNE AND SEPTEMBER 2008 COURSE PRICES

To study for your National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Pre Entry Certificate in Newspaper Journalism will cost £3,500 – whether you take the 20-week ‘Fast Track’ or 40-week ‘Earn While You Learn’ option.

The fee is inclusive covers all tuition and entry to national examinations in journalism, shorthand, public affairs and law. Any resits – although we don’t like to be negative - must be paid for additionally. We are also offering optional and NCTJ examinable specialisms in sub-editing and sports journalism and are developing our own online journalism syllabus.

Once a place has been offered on a respective course students pay a £1,000 deposit to confirm their intention to study at News Associates. The balance is payable the day you commence your studies with us.

The Journalism Diversity Fund is available to students from ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds, who are without the means to support themselves through an NCTJ training course.  For more information and an application form please see the link; http://www.journalismdiversityfund.com/

There are other concessions available to students, including Transport for London’s (TFL) Student Oyster Card, which we can issue once a full-time course has started International students are welcome at News Associates. However, most students coming to study here from outside the EU will require student visas, and that imposes requirements both on the students themselves and on the institutions at which they study.
